What do you do when the system you live or work in feels like it becomes a cage?
Many of us were raised in environments that told us who we had to be in order to be good, accepted, or safe. Sometimes those environments were religious. Sometimes they were military. Sometimes they were soaked in heteronormativity, gender norms, cultural supremacy, or patriarchy. Sometimes… all of the above.
On the surface, these systems promised structure, community, even purpose. But over time, they started to feel like something else entirely: Containment.
If you’ve ever felt like you had to perform goodness in order to belong… If you’ve ever silenced parts of yourself to avoid being labeled, shamed, or cast out… If you’ve ever sat in a room that was supposed to be “safe” — but felt like you were suffocating… You’re not broken. You’re not crazy. You’re waking up.
What you’re feeling is the tension between the self you were trained to be… And the self you actually are — your ziran. That tension isn’t a problem to fix. It’s a teacher. It’s the sign that your soul is ready to stop performing and start remembering.
The Ziran Life Values meta journey was created for people just like you. People who are ready for a sacred rebellion in their lives.
"Working with Rob and the Ziran Life Values course was a life-changer. This program is so streamlined and easy to follow, though the work is not so easy at all, since inner work rarely is. Broken down in easy-to-digest morsels, its substance felt like voodoo magic to my soul. Rob has a gift of speaking and teaching in such a way that makes you want to listen closely and carefully. If you are at a point in life where you are desiring to peel back the layers to your most authentic self, The Ziran Life Values and Coach Rob will not disappoint!"

"This course was nothing short of life-changing. As someone who came from a background of Evangelical religious indoctrination, I thought I had already done the work to heal and grow. But the Ziran Life Values course showed me just how much deeper I needed to go. And I'm so grateful I did. The way this course is structured is nothing less than brilliant. Each daily lesson and assignment was like a gentle-yet-direct mirror guiding me to the exact places in my soul that needed healing. I uncovered layers of myself I didn't even know were still buried. I leave this course more whole than I've ever been in my life. I've found my voice. I've found my peace. I've found me. If you're ready to break free from old programming, reclaim your true self, and heal on a soul-level, take this course! You won't be the same, and that's a beautiful thing.

"The Ziran Life Values Course helped me realize there is a difference between a dutiful daughter and a disposable daughter. I was able to crack the glass ceiling that found me to a set of standards that were unreasonable and inequitable. I also realized that I gave my mother more power than she deserved because I was afraid of my own power! Discovering my Ziran Life Values helped me see that even though my first marriage ended in divorce, that didn't mean it was a mistake. I didn't waste my heartfelt love on someone who threw it away. My love has never been wasted. Now I delight in my children and grandchildren as a gift of that union. What's more, if my church never turned their back on me, I would never have been in a place where I connect with a loving and supportive universe that wants the best life for me. I have so much to be thankful for and living in my ziran has enhanced my daily bliss. Thank you Rob for this wonderful program!"

"The phrase 'sacred rebellion' is what jumped out at me when I was offered a spot to join other adventurers in the Ziran LIfe Values quest. What came next was completely unexpecgted. Even though the part of me that wanted to stay comfortable kicked and screamed through the process, the part of me who was craving freedom and spontaneity took over! Letting her drive, I have begun to find my voice, my body, my holiness, my sacred self. Led by Rob with an open heart and mind, he listened to us, guided us, and welcomed honest feedback. I found a tribe of soul-seekers who showed up bravely and without filter. Just what I prayed for! We are all meant to thrive and to grow. To step out of our comfort zones, on our way to creation. We. each have unique talents and gifts that were meant to be shared with the world! This course will help you remember or discover for the first time what those gifts and talents are. The ones that make you YOU! If you want to discover what makes you feel free and alive, I recommend your Ziran journey in the next cohort as soon as possible!"

"I began my healing journey a year-and-a-half after I lost my little girl. Recovering from the death of a child, divorce from a toxic relationship, addressing daddy-issues, and self-sabotage, my list is still long. Somewhere along the way, I detoured a bit. Several months later, I connected with Rob and engaged The Ziran Life Values course. It gently guided me back on track, propelling me deepr into my journey, and setting me on fire to crave wholeness. Against the backdrop of a year-plus in therapy between two therapists - including EMDR therapy - this course feels much more expansive. It takes a stronger hold on my life, buiding me to do what I knew deep down as opposed to telling me what to do. I found my own internal compass and built self-trust in a way I didn't think possible. I have a healthier relationship with myself now. In the live cohort version of the course, I also found accountability and camaraderie. Now I want more!"

This work doesn’t require you to hate where you came from.
But it does invite you to get radically honest about what no longer fits.
It offers a way to deconstruct with compassion, not just critique.
A way to reconnect to what’s real, what’s true, and what’s yours.
Ziran means “your natural self.” And in a world built on roles, rules, and rigidity,
remembering who you are is an act of sacred rebellion. Are you ready?
The Ziran Life Values meta journey is a convergence of 35 years of my own inner work as well as my work in the guidance sector.
I've attempted to piece together the most salient parts of my live and professional experience into a unique sandbox where we can turn our lives into play with spirituality, therapy, psychology, physiology, philosophy, and community.
This meta journey combines interaction in each of these fields within a beautiful space where spiritual life coaching, Daoism, healing modalities, nervous system care, shadow work, and curated assignments bring healing while building potential life-long friendships.
- Coach Rob Wilkerson
All course content includes written material, audio commentary, and time-tested, curated assignment questions and creative exercises designed to unpack the concepts, excavate your soul, and mine your ziran.
Additional resources include Notion plaform workbook, Ziran Gear Bag tools, nervous system regulating tools, healing companion guides, and future mini courses in applying your Ziran Life Values to relationships, dating, and profession.
What is the course scope and sequence?
Orientation: Preparing for the Meta Journey
Lesson 1 – Understanding the Ziran Life Process
Summary: Meet the heart of this journey. Learn what ziran actually means, how it contrasts with your traditional life story, and why this process is not about fixing yourself — but remembering yourself.
Lesson 2 – In Your Ziran Gear Bag: Mindfulness Meditation
Summary: Discover how mindfulness helps you observe your thoughts without judgment. This gear will keep you grounded when the terrain of introspection gets rugged.
Lesson 3 – In Your Ziran Gear Bag: The Chaotic Compiler
Summary: Your brain isn’t broken — it’s brilliant. Learn how your scatterbrain is actually sacred, and how questions invite clarity through your inner Compiler.
Lesson 4 – In Your Ziran Gear Bag: Trusting Yourself
Summary: You’ve been trained to outsource truth. This lesson invites you to begin trusting your inner signals — even the quiet ones.
Lesson 5 – Welcome to Your Snow Globe
Summary: Begin seeing the system that shaped you. This lesson reveals how culture, family, and fear built the snow globe you’ve been living inside.
Lesson 6 – Awakening to Your Snow Globe
Summary: Zoom out and examine how your behaviors and beliefs are patterned responses to your environment — and what happens when you begin to question them.
Lesson 7 – Beliefs: The Invisible Energy in Your Globe
Summary: Beliefs shape what you see and how you feel. Here, you’ll learn to identify them as energetic frequencies — not absolute truths.
Lesson 8 – The Most Important Question in Your Life
Summary: What do I value most? We’ll slow down enough to ask that question honestly — and prepare for the answers that emerge.
Lesson 9 – Your Current Values & Where They Came From
Summary: Take inventory of the values you live by today — and trace their origins back to family, culture, and tradition.
Lesson 10 – Your Idealized Values
Summary: Identify the shiny, socially-approved values you want to believe about yourself — and what it costs to maintain them.
Lesson 11 – Why & How Idealized Values Hurt Us
Summary: Unpack how chasing idealized values creates guilt, exhaustion, and self-betrayal — and start releasing what no longer serves.
Lesson 12 – How Honest Do You Want to Get With Yourself?
Summary: We confront cognitive dissonance — the tension between how we want to live and how we actually do.
Lesson 13 – Taking Personal Ownership & Responsibility
Summary: Stop blaming the snow globe. This day invites you to reclaim agency without shame.
Lesson 14 – The Lies We Tell Ourselves
Summary: Look directly at the unconscious self-deceptions we maintain to keep things comfortable — and lovingly disrupt them.
Lesson 15 – It’s Time for Dangerous Honesty
Summary: A day of spiritual gut-checks. Honesty becomes a tool for liberation, not punishment.
Lesson 16 – Giving Yourself Permission
Summary: This is the turn. We begin treating ourselves with reverence instead of regulation — and it starts with internal permission.
Lesson 17 – Learning to See Yourself
Summary: Strip away inherited expectations and really look at yourself. With awe. With curiosity. With love.
Lesson 18 – In Your Ziran Gear Bag: A Self-Love Ritual
Summary: Build your own neural path of compassion. Mirror work, affirmations, and sacred self-regard enter the chat.
Lesson 19 – It’s Time for the Shift
Summary: You’re ready to track what you actually value — by observing how you spend your resources & energy.
Lesson 20 – The Hidden Layer of Actual Values
Summary: Look beneath the surface of your choices and discover what you’ve been soothing, avoiding, or protecting.
Lesson 21 – Hybrid Values
Summary: Reconcile the conflict between your idealized and actual values — and find the overlap that feels like truth.
Lesson 22 – Living Wisdom: An Experiential Path to the Ziran Life
Summary: Introduce Wu Wei and learn how aligned action emerges from the flow of your natural self — not from force.
Lesson 23 – The Consequences of Ziran Life Permission
Summary: Permission has a price. Today explores the real-world ripple effects of living in alignment — including pushback from the snow globe.
Lesson 24 – A Healthier Way to Observe & Assess Our Lives
Summary: We redefine self-assessment through mindfulness — not shame — and begin practicing present-tense honesty.
Lesson 25 – When You Feel Your Ziran Being Born
Summary: That moment when something real and alive starts to take shape inside you — this day honors it.
Lesson 26 – From Pattern to Persona: Archetypes and Your Ziran Life
Summary: Synthesize what you’ve learned by naming your inner archetypes — the soul roles your ziran might take on in the world.
Lesson 27 – Creating Your Own Life Laboratory
Summary: Design a low-risk experiment to test a ziran-aligned shift. Try it. Watch. Learn.
Lesson 28 – In Your Ziran Gear Bag: Building a Method for Your Ziran Life Lab
Summary: Introduce the L.E.A.P. Method — Learn, Experiment, Assess, Practice — your new compass for intentional iteration.
Lesson 29 – Your Meta Journey Gear: Iteration is the New Perfection
Summary: We ditch the performance loop and embrace scientific, loving, ongoing change. This is process over perfection.
Lesson 30 – The Best Way to Do Your Ziran
Summary: Integrate Wu Wei into your lived experience — and begin walking with your ziran self in the real world.
Lesson 31 – A Sacred Rebellion Requires Community
Summary: Your ziran needs support. This final day helps you design your Ziran Life Support System — so you can live this truth out loud, with co-rebels beside you.
